Nice to see people out last night.
I'd like to start helping out with the indigenous garden, and try to organize, or at least involve the youth who hang out in the park in these discussions. I think that this park revitalization needs to also focus on the teenagers and improving the areas of the park that they use.
I am going to try to chat with some of the teens who use the park, see if we can't set up a little community meeting with them, and get their voices involved somehow. Could be tricky with some of them though.

I love that the park gets used so much. If you want to get some teen input just get them to send an email to vineaveparkette@gmail.com and I'll get them hooked up with authour status here. same goes for anybody.
One of the regular teens is the son of a home care mom that took care of my son... I will talk to him about it. I also know that there is a vine park facebook started by some of the teens... most of it just tells of how drunk or stoned they get... but it may be a way to generate interest in a basketball tournament.
